The comforts of home might just be coming to an airport near you.

In the age of Netflix and Hulu, more and more people enjoy watching their favorite shows at home. There is nothing quite like lounging on your couch with your favorite blanket and an endless assortment of snacks.

When traveling, our minds often wander to the comforts of home. This is especially true when navigating busy airports. How often have you imagined just taking a nap while standing in an especially long TSA line? Enter AirPod – the airport sleeping pod.

AirPods are the perfect place for naps and Netflix.

Though not to be confused with Apple’s wireless Air Pods headphones, AirPods are just as innovative. Layovers don’t have to be a dreaded experience. Gone are the days where travelers have to spend hours sitting hunched over on the too hard terminal seats.

AirPods are a direct response to what travelers want. A recent Skyscanner survey found that consumers are looking for cinema, sleep pods, and library resources in airports.

Each AirPod features free WiFi, Netflix, and a comfortable bed/chair. The soundproof design creates a tranquil atmosphere amidst the travel chaos. The privacy makes for an ideal work environment, or maybe the perfect place to catch up on your sleep. AirPods will be available for travelers to rent by the hour.

This sounds like a genius idea, right? Once you try out an AirPod, you just might wonder why airports didn’t come up with the idea sooner. Though the product is still in the initial testing phase, they’ll be popping up in various European airports later in 2018.

Keep your eyes out for these ground-breaking airport pods across Europe within the next year. Be one of the first to enjoy the convenience of a comfortable nap in the airport.

  1. Love AirPod idea. As frequent business traveller I spend lot of time at airports. Being able to get privacy for conference calls (which very few lounge offer) and have peace and quiet in what seems to be well though of product, will hopefully mean easier commuting and less recovery time when I finally get home.. kids will be happy so will I. Can’t wait for it…

    • That would be lovely indeed! People could definitely use that privacy during their travels. 🙂 We’re excited with you!
