Ride a Brittany Ferry to reach your next European destination.

The Brittany Ferries serve as a popular method for European cross-channel travel. With multiple routes extending across the English Channel and Atlantic, of course travelers visit many major port cities. Brittany Ferries primarily service British, French and Spanish cities in their primary routes. Travelers have the option of choosing between the traditional Channel ferries, or the high-class luxury ferries to Spain. These lavish maritime vessels transport travelers in style to the Spanish cities of Santander and Bilbao.

Europe’s ferry system is reaching new destinations with their latest route.

With such success among European maritime travelers, it comes as no surprise that Brittany Ferries are expanding. The latest travel addition is a route between Ireland and Spain. The two weekly scheduled crossings are departing from Cork, Ireland on Wednesdays and Fridays. The route extends across the ocean from Cork to Santander, Spain. This is the very first ferry service to ever connect the two nations.

Europe’s ferry

This service route begins in late April 2018. A new boat will serve as the transportation method of choice for this trip. This particular vessel is not a luxury ferry but promises comfortable accommodation during the trip. The journey between countries will take about 26 hours, so pack accordingly. This ferry accommodates approximately 500 travelers per trip.

Beginning at the end of January, travelers can book tickets for this route. If this sounds like your cup of tea, then start planning your seaward voyage now. Keep in mind that this route operates until November 2018.

From April through November 2018, you can be one of the first people to ride on the newest travel connection between Ireland and Spain. Kick back and enjoy your trek across the sea.
