La Casa del Camino is a Where Spanish-Style Meets California Surf Vibes

La Casa del Camino is a blend of all good things. Blending up flavor at the on-site restaurants, and blending Spanish decor with Cali vibes, we love La Casa del Camino. This historic hotel is situated near the beach to provide glorious views of the Pacific Ocean. Best of all, there is a private beach area for guests to use. It is located only steps away from the hotel. When traveling to Southern California, La Casa del Camino is a charming hotel to stay in.

The fusion of California and Spanish-style vibes makes La Case del Camino stand out among other hotels in the Laguna Beach area. With friendly customer service, scrumptious restaurant meals, a host of amenities, and a delightful design, we highly recommend considering a stay at La Casa del Camino during your visit to SoCal. This hotel is the perfect coastal destination. Let's talk about all the perks that come with a stay at La Casa del Camino.

Let's Talk Accommodations

Spanish-Style Rooms

The guestrooms available at La Casa del Camino hotel range in design. Guests have the options of staying in the Spanish-style rooms, casa surf rooms, or la casita. Concerning the Spanish-style rooms, guests can choose from the Spanish King Room, the Spanish Queen Room, or the Spanish Petite Room. These rooms all display the hotel's character and come with either a courtyard, village, or partial ocean views. The Spanish Petite Room is particularly ideal for solo travelers. The Petite Room comes with delightful décor and a queen-size bed.

If the historic charm of the Spanish-style rooms does not suit your fancy, then check out the surf-themed roofs. These two room options are polar opposites, so whatever your sense of style is, you will be able to find it at La Casa del Camino. Casa surf rooms are decorated with hand-painted surfboards, murals on the walls, vibrant colors, and unique accents. In fact, no two surf rooms are the same. They all range in design, décor, and Cali surf vibes.

The Billabong Men's Room is a rustic bedroom featuring neutral tones (and pops of subtle color). Clean in design, this room is a laid-back space made of raw materials like wood, stone, concrete, and more. The Billabong Men's Room also comes with a flat-screen television, a mini-fridge, and exquisite views of the ocean. The Billabong Women's Room, on the other hand, brings more creativity and color into the space. Made also of natural raw materials and splashes of color, the Billabong Women's Room is perfect for any free-spirited traveler.

Roxy Room is a room of bold color (we are talking thick black and white stripes on the walls). Any young woman will love the design of this space with its modern furniture and colorful interior. Etnies Room is a casual space that features Laguna Beach's skate culture. There is even a skateboard mini-bar in this room and a kidney-shaped skate pool sink. Rip Curl Room cannot be described as anything other than “cool.” There is an underwater photomural covering one wall, surfboards hanging on the others, and a calming blue, grey, white, and orange theme. Glaceau Room is simplistic, yet colorful with blue, cream, and aqua tones. Riviera Room is simplistic as well with its white and wood design.

The Quicksilver room is one of the most chill and neutral of the surf-themed rooms. The reclaimed wood and bronze detail in the space puts a modern spin on surf style. L *Space Room is a more luxurious room that radiates calm vibes. If you are looking for a room that will be a quiet refuge, then L *Space room will provide the peace you are searching for. Plus, this guestroom has direct views of the Pacific. From the interior to the views out the window, L *Space Room is all about serenity.

La Casita

La Casita is the hotel's exclusive vacation rental. This private beachside cottage can accommodate up to six people, making it ideal for families or groups traveling together. Why stay at La Casita instead of another beach house rental? Because a stay at La Casita provides guests with beach house privacy in addition to all the perks of staying at a hotel. That means that guests still have access to La Casa del Camino's fitness center, on-site activities, and dining services. A stay at La Casita provides guests with the best of both worlds – a beach house of their own and the conveniences of staying at a hotel.

The cottage itself has three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a living room, a full kitchen (with appliances), a dining room, a loft/sitting room, and a washer and dryer. La Casita also has a private deck with seating and a gas grill. WiFi access is available as well at the La Casa del Camino cottages. For families or couples traveling together, consider staying at La Casita during your trip to Laguna Beach.

The two restaurants on-site at La Casa del Camino include K'ya Bistro Bar and The Rooftop. Both are open daily and provide happy hour specials for guests.

K'ya Bistro Bar serves up Mediterranean flavors and oceanfront views. The Mediterranean-inspired small plates and shared plates are favorites for guests and locals alike. To give you an idea of the menu, some items prepared at K'ya Bistro Bar include bread & cheese appetizers, tapas, soups and salads, seafood dishes, and meat dishes.

Start off your evening with warm brie, tapenade, or avocado toast. Order a small plate of citrus salad, tomato basil soup, or coconut shrimp. If dining with a group, order a few of the restaurant's shared plates, including Indian butter chicken, lobster mac n' cheese, or blacked scallops & risotto. K'ya Bistro Bar also has an extensive drink menu with beers, mojitos, martinis, white wines, red wines, and more. Whatever you do, save room for dessert. K'ya Bistro Bar prepares a delectable vanilla bean crème brulee, flourless chocolate cake with cappuccino ice cream, peanut crunch bars, cheesecake, sorbet, and more.

The Rooftop

If you want to step outside and overlook Laguna Beach, head up to The Rooftop. This restaurant is fun for drinks, dining, and hanging out with friends (including your four-legged friends. Yes, The Rooftop is pet-friendly!). Stop by The Rooftop for brunch, lunch, or happy hour when you are in Laguna Beach. One important thing to note is that The Rooftop does not take reservations. This restaurant is on a first come, first serve basis.

When you stop by for Sunday Brunch, we recommend trying the Banana-Pecan Baked “French Toast,” the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito, or the Coconut Curry Chicken Bowl (depending on if you are a “breakfast foods” brunch eater or a “lunch foods” brunch eater). For everyday lunch, try the chips & fire roasted salsa (add the guac!), chilled Moroccan shrimp & quinoa salad, and the turkey club sandwich. During happy hour, pair your drink of choice with your favorite snacks from off of the appetizer menu. Some of the appetizers available include BBQ meatballs, falafel green tahini, herb roasted potatoes, and bacon wrapped dates. Another thing to appreciate about The Rooftop is that they mark the gluten-free and dairy-free items on their menu, making life easier for gluten-freers and daily-freers.
