Enjoy the sights and smells of the impending holiday season.

The first of December begins the official Christmas countdown for a lot of people. This season is one of joy and merriment, as people celebrate with those they love most. With the holiday come the traditional activities of baking Christmas cookies and hanging string lights. Often a particular smell brings recollections of celebrations long before, like peppermint, hot cocoa, or gingerbread. Making gingerbread houses is a beloved Christmas tradition of many families.

Of course, Christmas cheer is not just for the kids. Adults are also allowed to enjoy the holiday every bit as much. With the latest creation from a luxury Los Angeles hotel, adults can step into a life-size gingerbread house this Christmas.

Gingerbread Christmas

This is probably the bar with the most Christmas cheer. Ever.

The JW Marriott Hotel in Los Angeles has certainly upped their game this Christmas. Hosting a bar labeled “Santa’s Tavern,” it seems as though elves may have played a part in its construction. This space is comprised entirely of gingerbread, offering the illusion of a whimsical Christmas village. This was no small feat, of course 1,300 pounds of gingerbread went into the design of Santa’s Tavern.

Enjoy the Christmas ambiance, with the cozy fireplace, constructed from gingerbread. The stockings were indeed hung from the faux chimney with care, of course. Sip a delicious drink from the bar as you catch a whiff of Christmas spirit throughout. Santa’s Tavern is offering a few original drink options at the bar. Ask for a Santa’s Little Helper for a mule with gingerbread liqueur. The Mistletoe Mimosa is a mixture of rose and cranberry juice.

If you find yourself in Los Angeles during this holiday season, stop by Santa’s Tavern. You can’t go wrong enjoying a delicious holiday drink inside a life-size gingerbread house.
