Boutique hotels are popping up across the United States and quickly becoming the latest travel trend. The smaller scale lodging experience coupled with engaging themes make boutique hotels a favorable option. One particular boutique hotel chain is the 21C Museum Hotel Project, which combines both art and accommodation.
The 21C Museum Hotel Project expands throughout seven cities, with two upcoming locations. Major cities such as Cincinnati, Ohio; Nashville, Tennessee; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma all host these boutique hotels. Des Moines, Iowa and Kansas City, Missouri are both launching the newest additions to this hip and trendy accommodation offering.
A stay at a 21C Museum Hotel is unlike any other.
The hotel chain is beginning construction on their Des Moines branch in early 2019. This Iowa city’s engaging atmosphere and innovative culture are what compelled 21C Museum Hotel to construct here.
Guests can choose from any of the 131 luxury rooms during their stay. 21C Museum Hotel strives to incorporate art into every aspect of your stay. The art gallery style lobby is designed to appear more like a museum than a hotel reception area. Its rotating exhibits ensure that there is a fresh selection of art every few months. The 7,000 square feet of exhibition space is free to the public and open 365 days a year.
The Des Moines location amenities include a full-service spa, a chef-driven restaurant, and a 24-hour fitness center and yoga studio. Deborah Berke Partners is in charge of the hotel’s design within Des Moines newest high rise.
The 21C Museum Hotel Project Des Moines location is expected to open in 2021. In the meantime, travelers can stay at any of 21C’s seven other nationwide locations.
