Fortunately, in recent years many airlines are expanding their flight selections to include more direct flight routes. This makes the travel long haul much simpler on those who have a long way to go. Air New Zealand recently joined the direct flight team with their newest flight offering from New Zealand to Chicago.
Here is the scoop on Air New Zealand’s latest flight.
With Air New Zealand’s newest flight, you can go from chilling with the kiwis to chowing down on Chicago deep dish pizza in just 15 hours. Their non-stop service runs between Auckland and Chicago. In an interview, Air New Zealand’s CEO Christopher Luxon notes, “We expect the addition of Chicago to our network to be an attractive option for Kiwis wanting to explore the city or head on to other North American destinations.”
This route launches in November 2018. The addition is noteworthy, as this is New Zealand’s first ever direct route from the island to this U.S. city.
Beginning November 30, New Zealand dwellers can make the trek to Chicago, selecting from the three times per week schedule. Travelers also get to ride in Air New Zealand’s newest aircraft- the Boeing 787-Dreamliner.
Buckle up for the long haul, as this is no quick flight. The direct route last 15 hours going there, and takes 16 hours on the return trip.
