Looking for a one-of-a-kind way to go all out for Halloween this year? We've found your answer—in a night in a mock Alcatraz jail cell.
Yep—this is for real. In partnership with Booking.com, the San Francisco Dungeon has constructed an ominous designed to look and feel just like a cell in Alcatraz. This is all-too-appropriate, considering the infamous penitentiary is their neighbor across the way.
For the first time ever, you can stay overnight in the San Francisco Dungeon within the eerie walls of the Alcatraz Suite. The jail cell has four twin-sized beds to host up to four lucky guests—but don't expect them to be anything luxurious. The listing specifically characterizes the coming night of sleep as “not-so-comfortable.” After all, you will be sleeping in a haunted jail cell.
You'll receive dungeon-appropriate pajamas to match the evening, along with a blood-curdling bedtime story from a Dungeon resident. This, of course, is to ensure a good night's rest.
On a less spooky note, you'll also be provided with some midnight treats and an in-cell breakfast the next morning. But the biggest bonus of all? VIP entry to the final San Francisco Dungeon show of the evening and a Merlin Annual Pass. Why's this so exciting? Oh, it only gives you access to its 30 plus sister attractions. No big deal, right?
The tickets are priced at a clever $666, a seemingly steep price until accounting for the complementary Merlin Annual Passes. But you'll have to hurry because the Alcatraz Suite experience is only available on the 30th and 31st of October.
Be warned: this experience at the San Francisco Dungeon is not for the easily scared. So if you think you can handle the spook, book your stay in the Alcatraz Suite here.
